The real life murderer of American sniper author Chris Kyle and another veteran Chad Littlefield of the US Navy Seals has being found guilty and sentenced to Life imprisonment without parole.
Eddie who is 27 years of age committed the murders at a Texas shooting range when both Chad and Chris took him there to help him with post war scars.
The jurors returned the verdict against the former Marine , whose lawyers had mounted an insanity defense and argued he suffered from psychosis.
Family members say Routh suffered from post traumatic stress disorder after serving in Iraq and Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.
Dr. Randall Price said Routh had a paranoid disorder which was exacerbated by his use of alcohol and marijuana.
Defense lawyer said the late Kyle described Routh as "straight up nuts" in a text message to his friend as they drove up the shooting range with Routh.
They added that the defendant who had being prescribed with anti-psychotic medication used to treat schizophrenia, believed the men planned to kill him.
In a phone call between Routh and a reporter from the New York magazine, said he became annoyed because Mr. Littlefinger was not shooting but appeared to be watching him instead.
During the call Routh was heard saying to the reporter , Mr. Littlefinger asked him " Are you gonna shoot? Are you gonna shoot? That is what got me all riled up.
"I had to take care of business. I took care of business, and then i got in the truck and left"
The bodies of the men were found 5 pm that day February 2nd 2013 . Both had been shot several times.

He deserves to die, I watched the American sniper dis year, a movie in memory of him, my God I was so touched. Chris kyle may u continue to rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteTrue!!! Imyself was sick after seeing the movie the following day. What a man Chris Kylie was and didnt deserve to die. To think eddie will have lawyers who will mock up such defense is beyond me...
